The University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center at Silver Cross Hosts Gastrointestinal Cancer Education Series for Physicians/Nurse Practitioners
New Lenox, IL (Sept. 24, 2013)— Presented by Silver Cross CME program and the University of Chicago Medicine, the Gastrointestinal Cancer CME series will review the latest advances in cancer diagnosis, staging and treatment in pancreatic, colorectal and esophagus cancers. Designed for physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, this series will demonstrate how the coordination between different specialists can improve the quality of care for cancer patients.
Lawrence Schilder, D.O., medical director, University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center at Silver Cross and series director, will introduce the October 3 discussion on pancreatic cancer with participating faculty from Silver Cross Hospital and the University of Chicago Medicine. The November 6 session will focus on colorectal cancer followed by esophagus cancer on December 5.
All sessions will take place at Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant located at 15690 S. Harlem Avenue in Orland Park, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Dinner will be provided. The registration fee per session is $25 for physicians; $15 for physician assistants and nurse practitioners; and complimentary for residents, students and fellows. Participants will receive 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ per each live activity. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
