New Lenox, IL (Sept. 30, 2013)—Heartland Education & Research Foundation and Silver Cross Hospital will host the 14th annual cardiovascular symposium for primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and registered nurses on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013. The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the NEW Silver Cross Hospital, 1900 Silver Cross Blvd., New Lenox (I-355 and Route 6). Advanced registration is required. Participants will learn about new therapeutic agents, innovative diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, and emerging concepts for the treatment of cardiovascular disease in an effort to improve outcomes for cardiovascular patients.
The full-day conference will be led by Abdul-Karim, M.D., Cardiologist and President of Heartland Cardiovascular Center; Kirkeith Lertsburapa, M.D., Cardiologist with Heartland Cardiovascular Center; and Julie Frommelt, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Heartland Cardiovascular Center. Course faculty includes Clyde Yancy, MD, Chief Division of Cardiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine; Valluvan Jeevanandam, MD, Chief, Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery at University of Chicago; Diane Rapaport, MD, Senior Medical Director, VITAS Hospital of Chicago Northwest; Eugene Chiu, MD, Cardiologist with Heartland Cardiovascular Center; Abdul Sankari, MD, cardiologist with Heartland Cardiovascular Center; Sunil Shroff, MD, Cardiologist with Heartland Cardiovascular Center; Jong-Yoon Yi, MD, Cardiologist with Heartland Cardiovascular Center.
