Silver Cross Offers Support Groups in October

Joliet, IL (September 26, 2010)— Silver Cross Hospital will host a free Bipolar Disease Support Group for individuals and family members coping with bipolar disease on Tuesdays, Oct. 12 and 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Specialty Care Pavilion lobby located on the Silver Cross Hospital campus, 1300 Copperfield Ave., Joliet. Breast Cancer Support Group
The American Cancer Society and Silver Cross Hospital will offer I Can Cope, an educational support group for women facing breast cancer on Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Center for Women’s Health I Matter Library, 1870 Silver Cross Blvd., New Lenox (on the Replacement Hospital campus). This program covers topics relevant to the cancer experience and offers practical help in coping with some of the emotional issues resulting from a cancer diagnosis.  Call 1-888-660-HEAL (4325) or visit www.IMatter.silvercross.org to register to attend.

CPAP Support Group
Cardinal Sleep Center of Will County will host a CPAP Support Group on Monday, Oct. 25, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Specialty Care Pavilion at Silver Cross Hospital, Room 1005, 1300 Copperfield Ave., Joliet. Silver Cross Hospital hosts the GRASP (Grief Recovery After Substance Passing) Support Group for individuals and family members coping with loss of loved ones due to substance abuse. The group will meet on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Rialto Room at Silver Cross Hospital. All participants are welcome.
