Silver Cross Offers Support Groups in January
Joliet, IL (Dec. 27, 2010)— Silver Cross Hospital and BMI Surgery will host a free bariatric surgery support group for individuals who have undergone any type of bariatric weight loss surgery Wednesday, January 19, from 6-7 p.m. in the hospital’s conference center, 1200 Maple Rd. Joliet. Led by a bariatric registered nurse, topics include behavior modification, clothing and recipe exchange, reconstructive surgery, lifestyle changes and relationship issues. Bipolar Disease Support Group
Silver Cross Hospital will host a free Bipolar Disease Support Group for individuals and family members coping with bipolar disease on Tuesdays, Jan. 11 and 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Specialty Care Pavilion lobby located on the Silver Cross Hospital campus, 1300 Copperfield Ave., Joliet. Breast Cancer Support Group
This group is for women and family members facing breast cancer. Topics covered are relevant to the cancer experience and offers practical help in coping with some of the emotional issues resulting from a cancer diagnosis. It is women supporting women! Group meets on Tuesday, Jan. 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Silver Cross Center for Women’s I Matter Health Library, 1870 Silver Cross Blvd., New Lenox. GRASP Support Group
Silver Cross Hospital hosts the GRASP (Grief Recovery After Substance Passing) Support Group for individuals and family members coping with loss of loved ones due to substance abuse. The group will meet on Saturday, Jan. 22. from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Rialto Room at Silver Cross Hospital. All participants are welcome.
