Silver Cross Named Hospital of Choice for 8th Year
Joliet, IL (Aug. 23, 2012) — The American Alliance of Healthcare Providers (AAHCP) recently announced that Silver Cross has been recognized as a Hospital of Choice for 2012. This is the eighth time that Silver Cross has been recognized as one of America’s most customer friendly hospitals.
“Winning this award year after year shows our commitment to treating patients the way they should be treated by consistently providing an unrivaled health care experience,” says Paul Pawlak, President and CEO of Silver Cross Hospital. 
The American Alliance of Healthcare Providers created the Hospital of Choice Awards in 2002 to help consumers find a top quality hospital with excellent customer service skills. The Choice Hospitals are judged based on their competence, public communication, reputation, good citizenship, and customer service skills exhibited by staff members. For example, researchers review public documents to evaluate the public service events and collaborative relationships established by community hospitals and score these relationships against hospitals of similar size. AAHCP also uses secret shoppers to test the various aspects of service performance. Each year AAHCP evaluates approximately 400-500 hospitals for consideration of this annual award. Winners are posted on the website www.choicehospitals.com.
