Childerguild Gives $265,000 for Silver Cross Women’s and Children’s Services
New Lenox, IL (March 7, 2016)—Recently, Childerguild presented Silver Cross Hospital with $265,000, to support the hospital’s Women and Infant Services Birthing Center and Pediatrics unit. Over the past 106 years, the local charitable organization has donated more than $3.2 million to support women’s and children’s services at Silver Cross Hospital. In recent years Childerguild’s donations have been used to purchase equipment including a VeinViewer, Abaer Newborn Hearing tester, electronic fetal monitor and breast milk registry software.

Mohamad Abdessamad, M.D., nephrology and board certified internal medicine physician, has joined the Silver Cross Medical Staff. Dr. Abdessamad completed an internal medicine residency at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago and a nephrology fellowship at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, VT.
