Silver Cross Celebrates Annual World Breastfeeding Week Celebration
New Lenox, IL (August 16, 2012)— In honor of World Breastfeeding Week, Silver Cross Hospital Lactation Consultants and the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) raised awareness for breastfeeding during the annual World Breastfeeding Week Celebration. An informative display was available on August 1 in the Women & Infant Services Birthing Center Lobby at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. Silver Cross Hospital’s International Board Certified Lactation Consultants answered questions and provided information to hospital visitors and staff members who visited the display.
Silver Cross Employees Walk to Raise Funds for Will-Grundy Medical Clinic
New Lenox, IL (August 16, 2012) — Employees from Silver Cross Hospital participated in the Fifth Annual Step Up… Care Now! 5K Walk-Run for the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic (WGMC) on June 2 at Joliet Junior College. In total, the event raised over $17,400 in much-needed funds to support the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic which has provided free medical and dental services to uninsured and underinsured area residents for nearly 25 years.
