Design will streamline care for surgical patients/families
Joliet, IL (Jan. 2, 2011)—One of the single most exciting enhancements to the new Silver Cross Hospital opening Feb. 26 at I-355 and Route 6 in New Lenox is the consolidation of surgery, endoscopy and interventional cardiology and radiology procedures into one integrated area—the Procedural Care Unit (PCU). Located on the second floor of the replacement hospital, each of these areas is conveniently adjacent to the PCU Family Lounge and also many private pre/post procedural rooms. The PCU has been designed for flexibility, operational efficiencies, and advanced technology.

As a full-time working mother, she knew she needed to get her annual mammogram, but she just did not know when she could make time for one. As fate would have it, she stumbled across the Silver Cross Center for Women’s Health blog site, and learned they were hosting a Ladies Only Mammogram party.

Silver Cross Hospital Offers Fireworks Safety Tips to Avoid Harmful Injuries
Joliet, IL (June 28, 2012) — Steamy temperatures, hot dogs sizzling on the grill, flags adorn with red, white, and blue, and of course, fireworks -- are all the makings of any good Independence Day celebration. From sparklers to multi-colored fountains, the Fourth of July holiday is one of the few times a year that Americans get the urge to light fireworks.
Dr. Babak Pazooki, endocrinologist, will help patients learn to manage their diabetes at the Silver Cross Diabetes Center’s annual Diabetes Fest on Saturday, Nov. 8. This free event will be held from 8 a.m. to Noon on the Silver Cross Hospital Conference Center, 1890 Silver Cross Blvd., New Lenox. Dr. Pazooki’s presentation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a healthy cooking demonstration from 10:30 to Noon. There will also be exhibits, blood glucose and blood pressure screenings, and participants can speak with experts regarding medications, foot and eye care.
