Silver Cross Employees Raise Nearly $6,000 for Bowl for Kid’s Sake Campaign
Joliet, IL (April 27, 2012) — For the tenth consecutive year, 10 teams of employees from Silver Cross Hospital raised $5,984 and participated in the Bowl for Kids Sake campaign, which is largest national fundraising campaign for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Funds raised for this event will support programs to help kids in the Will and Grundy communities.

Joliet Businessman Gives $1.5 Million to Fund new Cancer Center at Silver Cross Hospital
Joliet, IL (Nov. 15, 2011)— Joliet businessman Edward Czerkies recently donated $1.5 million in memory of his wife, Carolyn, to benefit the Silver Cross Replacement Hospital at 1-355 and Route 6 in New Lenox. This generous gift from the Czerkies family will support the construction of The University of Chicago Cancer Center at Silver Cross Hospital opening in April 2012. The building housing the Cancer Center will be named the Carolyn J. Czerkies Pavilion.
