Silver Cross Hospital Volunteers Honored for Service

Joliet, IL (June 1, 2011)—Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet honored its volunteers at the annual recognition luncheon held at the Patrick Haley Mansion in Joliet on May 22.  With four volunteer organizations:  Childerguild, Will County Union of King’s Daughters and Sons, Advisory Board and Inservice vounteers, more than 510 area residents donate their time and talents to raise funds for the hospital and assist in daily operations.  For more information about volunteer opportunities, visit www.silvercross.org or call (815) 740-7117.

Silver Cross Founders Still Active in Hospital’s Mission

Joliet, IL (May 25, 2011)—Founded in 1890, the Will County Union of King’s Daughters and Sons continues to support the dream and project started by a small group of local women over a century ago—to build Silver Cross Hospital.  Today, the Union is comprised of 101 men and women in 8 circles.

Local Woman Regains new Freedom after Incontinence Treatment with RIC at Silver Cross

Joliet, IL (May 23, 2011) — Have you ever not quite made it to the bathroom in time? If so, you’re not alone. Urinary incontinence affects millions of women in the U.S.  Like many other women nationwide, Joliet resident Anita Matichak, discovered that her urinary incontinence was worsening over the last couple of years. Fortunately, she was able to find simple solutions that greatly improved this problem enabling her to regain her sense of freedom.
