Silver Cross Hospital Earns Three American College of Radiology Accreditations
New Lenox, IL (January 20, 2016) —Silver Cross Hospital has received three gold seals of accreditation as a result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR awarded Silver Cross three-year term accreditations in the following disciplines: breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which offers valuable information about many breast conditions that may not be obtained by other imaging modalities, such as mammography or ultrasound; computed tomography (CT), which — sometimes called CAT scanning — is a noninvasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and tailor treatments for various medical conditions; and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which is a noninvasive medical test that utilizes magnetic fields to produce anatomical images of internal body parts to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions.
