Silver Cross Newborns Wrapped with Care during Holidays
Childerguild donates sleepers to babies born at New Lenox Hospital
New Lenox, IL (Dec. 27, 2012)—It’s was an interesting Christmas for the Hunnius family of New Lenox. On Dec. 26, Tessa Marie was born at 7:58 a.m. in the Women & Infant Services Birthing Center at the new Silver Cross Hospital. Tessa is Dave and Kelly’s third daughter to be born at Silver Cross, but this time it was extra special. Not only did Kelly get to deliver in the comfort of the hospital’s new luxurious Birthing Suites, but little Tessa was “wrapped with care” thanks to a generous donation from Childerguild.

Silver Cross Physicians Join New Blue Medicare Advantage (HMO) Plan
Beginning January 1, 2013, Silver Cross Hospital and the physicians with the Silver Cross Managed Care Organization are pleased to join the network for Blue Medicare AdvantageSM, a new Medicare Advantage (Part C) plan offered to residents of Cook, DuPage, Kane, and Will counties by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL). With over 200 primary and specialty physicians to choose from, the Silver Cross Managed Care Organization is the largest managed care provider caring for HMO Illinois, Blue Advantage and now Blue Medicare Advantage patients in Will County.

Silver Cross Hospital Raises $25,000 for United Way
New Lenox, IL (December 5, 2012) —Silver Cross Hospital raised $25,000 to help the Annual United Way Campaign, which kicked-off in mid-November.

Silver Cross Women and Infant Services Birthing Center Recognize World Prematurity Day
New Lenox, IL (Dec. 4, 2012) — Employees from Silver Cross Hospital’s Women and Infant Services Birthing Center recognize “World Prematurity Day” on November 16.
This day is set aside to honor the 1 million babies worldwide who died this year because they were born too soon, and the 12 million more who struggle to survive.

Childerguild Raises over $160,000 for Silver Cross at Annual Ball
Hospital Honored Dr. Joseph Karcavich, Russ Slinkard and Paul Pawlak at Annual Ball
New Lenox, IL (November 30, 2012)—Over 450 friends of Silver Cross Hospital attended the 84th annual Childerguild Ball November 17 at the Odyssey Country Club and enjoyed wonderful food and dancing. The premiere event of the holiday season raised over $160,000, which will be used to support women’s and children’s programs and services at the new Silver Cross Hospital.
