Joliet should not spend tax dollars on hospital battle
It is shameful that the city of Joliet would use tax dollars to try to keep
Silver Cross Hospital from moving. Would it be more productive for the city
if it worked on the redevelopment of that location?
Silver Cross is a regional hospital that is committed to giving quality
health care to the people of Will County. Why is it that the city does
not want Silver Cross to improve on what the hospital does best? I want
to know that our city officials are spending tax dollars wisely. I want
to be proud of Joliet because the city has done the right thing with my
hard-earned money.
Why is it OK for the city of Joliet to hire a law firm from outside of
the city? I don't understand why it is OK for the city to do business
outside of the city, but it is not OK for Silver Cross to relocate?
