Your Support
As strong supporters and patients of Silver Cross Hospital for over 50 years, we are excited about the new plans to build a replacement facility at the intersection of Route 6 and Interstate 355.
For the past 100 years, Silver Cross Hospital’s Joliet campus has been filled with growth and change - opening new patient care rooms, bringing in new technology, offering new health services to the community and building new pavilions and medical centers. We have happily supported Silver Cross’ recent expansions including the cardiovascular institute, because we know how critical the health of a community hospital is to support the growing population.
We know this was not an easy decision, but it definitely was the right decision. The Silver Cross Board of Trustees engaged in a long and deliberative process before determining that building a replacement hospital is the best way to meet their mission of caring for current and future patients. We find that to be very visionary.
Silver Cross Hospital has been like a family to us and we know that the soul of this family will exist regardless of the hospital’s location even if it is just three short miles down the road. We know that Silver Cross will continue to care for all patients in the replacement facility with the same high level of quality healthcare and service that has made them a Top 100 Hospital in the nation.
Five years after we gave our gift to enhance cardiovascular services at Silver Cross Hospital, we are still proud to support Silver Cross in their efforts to construct this replacement hospital and we look forward to a bright future for years to come.
Sincerely,
LaVerne & Dorothy Brown
