As a Trustee of the New Lenox Village Board, I would like to take this opportunity to express my support for Silver Cross Hospital and their proposed CON project.

Will County is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. By moving closer to the center of its primary service area, Silver Cross will improve access to care for thousands in the region. Access to Silver Cross will be made easier by its relocation to the intersection of I-355 and Route 6 allowing Silver Cross to continue their high quality health care.

The partnership between Silver Cross and Children’s Memorial Hospital will be a tremendous benefit to the children of Will County so they can be treated close to home instead of 40 miles away in Chicago. This is a very important fact for all the families who reside in the Will County area.

My support for the project is spurred by the fact that the replacement hospital would create more than 1,000 new jobs and increase economic development in our area. Silver Cross has been a key partner in promoting health and well being on our community and I look forward to seeing that continues at their new hospital.
