I am writing to strongly support the plan of Silver Cross Hospital to construct a replacement hospital in our neighboring Village of New Lenox. Silver Cross has been a very valuable and needed part of our community for a century, and its services are needed now more than ever.

Our area is about to experience a major increase in growth, both business and residential, with the opening of the I-355 Tollway. Even before the Tollway opened, Will County has been one of the fastest growing counties in the county. Silver Cross needs to expand to meet the needs of the new growth, as well as to be able to incorporate all of the latest technology and advancements in medicine and to continue its commitment to quality care.

We welcome the plans for new construction and the economic development boost that it will provide for our area, and we look forward to the continuing service to the community be Silver Cross for many years to come.
