I support Silver Cross Hospital’s request to construct a replacement hospital near I-355/I-80 interchange. The Frankfort Village Board has also approved a resolution in support of this project. Frankfort residents tell me that they believe the new facility will provide easier access for than and it will help bring economic growth to the border communities, including Frankfort.

Will County is projected to be the second largest county in the state by 2030, with a projected population of 1.1 million. Our health care infrastructure must keep up with this growth. It appears more practical to construct a new state-of-the-art health care facility that to once again adds on to an aging facility.
