Your Support
As a Trustee of the Village of New Lenox, I am pleased to give my support to Silver Cross Hospital in its plans to construct a replacement hospital in New Lenox. I encourage the Planning Board to support Silver Cross’ proposal to expand the medical opportunities to patients and families here in New Lenox for generations to come.
Because Silver Cross is an institution that cares for the communities and the people they serve, they want to ensure they will be around to care for patients for the next 100 years. After more that a year of careful study, Silver Cross has found that the best way to continue their legacy is to construct a modern facility that has the ability to provide the best quality for the 21st century. The new hospital will have the latest technology, it will allow the doctors and nurses to provide care right at the patient’s bedside and it will provide all of Will County with enhanced medical services. Our families will also have expanded access to specialists from Children’s Memorial Hospital right here at home.
The replacement hospital project will bring new opportunities for job creation and economic development, with an influx of new construction jobs and trade jobs for residents.
For more than 100 years, Silver Cross has set the standard in our area for top quality health care. In just a few years, they have grown from an outstanding community hospital to a three-time 100 top Hospitals national award winner.
In addition, moving closer to its service area, Silver Cross will improve access for residents across Will County at its new location. Along with all of the New Lenox Village Trustees, I will work with Silver Cross and Pace to ensure plenty of efficient transportation options to the new hospital for residents throughout the region.
Silver Cross has always been a great neighbor to the Village of New Lenox. We look forward to a new partnership as the hospital moves to our own background.
