Outpatient Behavioral Health Program
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Silver Cross Hospital is designed to provide intensive outpatient services for patients who are experiencing behavioral health symptoms, but do not require 24-hour supervision on an inpatient treatment unit. The program provides structured treatment several days weekly, with a treatment team that includes registered nurses, social workers, and psychiatrists.
PHP is a structured, intensive treatment program that provides therapeutic intervention to attain specific treatment goals. Specific behavioral health symptoms and stressors that can be appropriately addressed in Partial Hospitalization Program include:
•Symptomatic mood or anxiety disorders with significant impairment of functioning
•Decreased daily functioning due to loss, grief, loneliness, and other life stressors
•Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness without active suicidality
•18 years of age or older
•Serious emotional disorder that requires intensive treatment without requiring 24-hour supervision.
•Patients must be sufficiently organized in thinking to participate in group activities within the structure of the program.
•Patients must show ability to care for their own personal needs.
•Patients will assume responsibility for taking their own medications as prescribed.
•Patients must have adequate shelter, assume responsibility for transportation and voluntarily enter the program.
•Patients must be able to build therapeutic relationships and be able to adhere to the program rules and program requirements.
Services are covered by most major health insurances, Medicaid and Medicare.
