Diagnostic Testing
Cardiology
Our advanced testing facilities can help cardiologists identify potential heart episodes years before they occur. Many of the procedures performed at Silver Cross are non-invasive, which means no surgical incision is required.
Basic Stress Test
While the patient walks on a treadmill, physicians can determine if all areas of the heart muscle are getting enough blood. This procedure lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Echocardiography
An ultrasound examination of the heart, which provides information about the muscle and its valves. This procedure lasts approximately 40-45 minutes.
Echocardiography Stress Test
Ultrasound images of the heart are taken before and after periods of exercise on a treadmill. This test provides Cardiologists with valuable information regarding Cardio Vascular Disease and lasts approximately one hour.
Holter Monitoring
A small recorder is attached to the patient, recording the electrical activity of the heart over an extended period of time.
Myoview Stress Test
A harmless fluid is injected into the patient’s bloodstream, allowing doctors to witness blood flow while both at rest and on a treadmill. This procedure lasts approximately three hours. Our advanced testing facilities allow Silver Cross cardiologists to determine the most effective plan for treatment.
