Our Services
The Silver Cross Diabetes Center is the first comprehensive diabetes management center in the Will County area. Located on our Joliet campus, it offers one-stop convenience for the treatment and management of diabetes.
If you have diabetes, that means getting help to manage your condition has gotten easier. Because now in one place, you can get all the personalized services and advice you need to do the best job of managing your condition.
Controlling diabetes is a team effort. So at the Silver Cross Diabetes Center, we help coordinate the efforts of all your team members starting with your personal physician. Other members of your team include a diabetes nurse clinician, registered dietitian, exercise specialists and support specialists.
Services are offered in individual or class sessions. A physician referral is required.
The center offers these and other services:
- Medication management
- Insulin administration
- Self blood glucose monitoring
- Meal planning/weight management
- Exercise planning
- Support groups
- Pregnancy and diabetes management
The educational program at the Diabetes Center was the first in Northern Illinois recognized by the American Diabetes Association. This recognition formally identifies the Diabetes Center as one of excellence in performance.
