Our experienced rehabilitation team is dedicated to helping patients regain their independence and reclaim a healthy, active lifestyle after a serious cardiac event, such as a heart attack. Expert cardiac nurses and exercise physiologists assist individuals regain strong cardiac function. Using state-ofthe-art exercise equipment along with cardiac monitoring systems, we work with patients and their physicians to create a tailored and personalized approach to guide each patient in their recovery. 

Phase I

Inpatient seen during hospitalization.

Phase II*

Program Length—12 weeks/36 sessions.
Frequency—3 days/week. Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Goal—Achieve optimal level of physical, psychological and social health through:

  • Individual progressive exercise plan monitored closely by telemetry.
  • Patient and family education of cardiovascular disease, the risk factor reduction, nutrition and stress management.
  • Emotional support.

Qualifications—Bypass surgery, heart attack, angioplasty, stent, angina, valve replacement, heart transplant within the last year.

Requirements—A written physician order.

*Insurance and Medicare coverage may vary.

Phase III

Program Length—Indefinite.

Frequency—3 days/week. Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Goal—Achieve and maintain physical fitness and to improve your quality of life.
