Evon D. and Jack H. Keck Emergency Pavilion

Joliet residents Evon D. and Jack H. Keck pledged $1 million to assist in the funding of Silver Cross Hospital’s Emergency Department expansion, which is was completed in January 2007. As a way of thanking the Kecks, the hospital named the new addition the Evon D. and Jack H. Keck Emergency Care Pavilion.

The new Keck Emergency Pavilion has the capacity to care for 60,000 patients annually. The 30,000 sq. ft. facility has:

  • 32 glass-enclosed private treatment rooms
  • 4 Trauma Rooms
  • Dedicated CT scanner to better diagnose head and internal injuries
  • 2 X-ray rooms
  • STAT Laboratory
  • Chest Pain Center
  • 2 family consulting rooms
  • Special facilities to care for those who have been sexually assaulted, contracted an infectious disease like TB or mumps, and suffered broken bones
  • Internet Cafe
  • Several reception areas equipped wireless internet access
  • Children’s reception room with video games, a flat screen HDTV and a salt-water aquarium
