Rehabilitation
Partners Benefiting You
Silver Cross Hospital and the
Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC)
have partnered to expand post-acute physical medicine and rehabilitation services in
Will County. Patients now have access to world-class care for a range of
conditions close to home. This new partnership designates Silver Cross as the
only healthcare facility in the area with this breadth of services in
partnership with RIC.
Expert Care
RIC is world-renowned for both its clinical excellence as demonstrated by its ranking as the "#1 Rehabilitation Hospital in America" by U.S. News & World Report every year since 1991, as well as its innovative research programs in the areas of neural engineering, bionic medicine and robotics.
The same focused, specialized care that has earned RIC its pre-eminent reputation is available at Silver Cross offering inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care.
RIC at Silver Cross is led by a physiatrist—a doctor specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Working alongside the doctors are registered nurses, licensed physical and occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists and assistants. Our RIC-Silver Cross team has experience treating a broad range of conditions. Many of our therapists are also certified in specialties such as hand and vestibular therapy. Their expertise matters because studies have shown that professionals who treat a larger number of cases of a given condition achieve better outcomes.
