The Lifeline program provides medical alert services for millions of people age 65 or older to preserve independence and quality of life. By simply touching the Personal Help Button on a small device worn by the homeowner, a Lifeline representative immediately responds 24 hours a day, 365 days a year connecting the senior with the necessary help whether it be emergency services or a family member or friend.
“We appreciate the Joliet Slammers generous donation that will help fund the Lifeline Medical Alert Program ensuring the safety of so many people living within the surrounding communities,” said Larry Johnson, Vice President of the Foundation at Silver Cross Hospital.
“The Slammers Baseball organization is thrilled to assist Silver Cross Hospital in giving area residents peace of mind by helping set-up the Lifeline program in their own homes,” said Chris Franklin, General Manager for the Joliet Slammers Baseball Team.
