Joliet, IL (October 24, 2010)— Silver Cross Hospital will host a free Bipolar Disease Support Group for individuals and family members coping with bipolar disease on Tuesdays, Nov. 9 and 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Specialty Care Pavilion lobby located on the Silver Cross Hospital campus, 1300 Copperfield Ave., Joliet. Bariatric Support Group
Individuals and their family members who have undergone bariatric weight loss surgery are invited to a free support group Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 6 to7 p.m. Ask Cherish what the program topic/speaker is for Nov. Breast Cancer Support Group
The American Cancer Society and Silver Cross Hospital will offer I Can Cope, an educational support group for women facing breast cancer on Tuesday, Nov. 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Center for Women’s Health I Matter Library, 1870 Silver Cross Blvd., New Lenox (on the Replacement Hospital campus). Participants discuss topics relevant to the cancer experience and offers practical help in coping with some of the emotional issues resulting from a cancer diagnosis. GRASP Support Group
Silver Cross Hospital hosts the GRASP (Grief Recovery After Substance Passing) Support Group for individuals and family members coping with loss of loved ones due to substance abuse. The group will meet on Saturday, Nov. 20, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Rialto Room at Silver Cross Hospital, 1200 Maple Rd., Joliet. All participants are welcome.
