About Morning Star Mission
MorningStar Mission is a non-denominational organization dedicated to relieving the spiritual and physical hunger of the poor. We do this by providing food for the hungry, clothing for the needy, shelter for the homeless and the Gospel of Jesus Christ for all.
Ministering to men, women, children and entire families, MorningStar Mission has served the less fortunate of Joliet and the surrounding Will County area since 1909. Whether it’s through a one-time meal or a long-term recovery program, we’re committed to offering hope for the hurting. For more information visit www.morningstarmission.org or call 815-722-5780.
About The Spanish Center
The Spanish Community Center was founded in 1967 in the city of Joliet Illinois. The purpose of the center was to provide social services to the city's growing needs of the Spanish speaking people in their native language, to make the transition of settling in the community, and learning English as a second language. Over the last four decades the Center has evolved from an agency helping only the Spanish speaking people of the neighborhood to an agency providing help to the entire community. Our mission is the provision of educational and social services. In addition, the Center’s weekly food pantry serves about 200 needy families per month. For more information, visit www.spanishcenter.org or call 815-727-3683.
