Vice President of Operations
Mark Jepson serves as Vice President of Operations at Silver Cross Hospital, bringing more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience focused on driving performance, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting high-quality patient care. In his current role, he provides executive oversight for essential hospital support services, including Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Clinical Engineering, Public Safety, Patient Transport, and Facilities Management, ensuring seamless operations across the organization. He is responsible for guiding strategy, execution, and performance across these functions.
Throughout his tenure at Silver Cross, Mark has played a pivotal role in shaping the hospital’s growth and infrastructure. He has led more than $50 million in construction and modernization projects spanning over 100,000 square feet, including critical expansions of emergency, procedural, and inpatient care areas. His leadership in capital planning and project execution has helped position the hospital for continued growth while enhancing the patient and caregiver experience. In addition, he oversees key vendor partnerships, ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term strategic priorities.
Previously, Mark served as Vice President of Business Transformation, where he led the successful implementation of a systemwide Workday enterprise resource planning platform. This multi-year initiative centralized finance, human resources, and supply chain operations, enabling better data visibility, streamlined processes, and more informed decision-making across the organization. Earlier in his career, as Vice President of Human Resources, Mark guided enterprise-wide workforce strategies during a period of significant expansion, growing the employee base by more than 400 team members while maintaining high engagement and retention rates.
