Additional Imaging, Lab Services Coming to Silver Cross in Mokena April 28

Before a shovel of dirt had been tossed in May 2021, officials from Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox and the Village of Mokena knew the planned Urgent Care Center going up on the southeast corner of U.S. Route 30 and Owens Road was going to be very popular with residents in the fast-growing area. 

On April 28, in the same Silver Cross Health Center in Mokena, services will be expanding to include CT scanning, ultrasound and Lab services, making access easier than ever. 

“That area is really growing. And we want to offer services to the community where it’s most convenient,” said Marci Vasiliades, Administrative Director of Imaging Services at Silver Cross. 

While the new services will be open to the public, Vasiliades said they will be especially convenient for patients of doctors in the on-site Hedges Medical Group, which is affiliated with Silver Cross. 

“Their patients now will be able to have lab work and imaging done in the same building as their doctors, instead of going to another site for these services,” she said. 

“We’re all excited,” added Amy Bourg, Silver Cross Manager for Outpatient Testing and Cardiodiagnostics. “It’s going to be great for the community.” 

Silver Cross Urgent Care in Mokena, located at 21205 Owens Road, is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The phone number is 815-300-2273.
