Silver Cross Featured in Forbes’ America’s Best Employers by State
Silver Cross Earned the No. 2 Spot in Healthcare Industry in Illinois
Silver Cross Hospital has been recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best-in-State Employers for 2025. Silver Cross ranked 8th overall in the State of Illinois; among healthcare providers in Illinois, Silver Cross earned the No. 2 spot.
America's Best-In-State Employers rankings are based on an independent survey of more than 160,000 employees working for companies with at least 500 employees across all 50 states.
Respondents evaluated companies on career development, compensation, workplace culture and the organization's overall image as an employer within their state. Survey participants were asked how likely they were to recommend their employer on a scale of zero to 10. Respondents also were asked to evaluate employers they’d worked for within the past two years, as well as organizations they knew within their industry or through friends or family who worked there.
Over 2 million employer evaluations were considered. Ultimately, 1,417 companies made it onto at least one state list, which yielded a combined 2,500 rankings.
