Silver Cross Medical Group’s Dr. Haley Manning Puts the ‘Family’ in Family Medicine
Dr. Haley Manning, a member of Silver Cross Medical Group, is dual board-certified in family medicine and obesity medicine.
When Dr. Haley Manning says she specializes in family medicine, she means the whole family.
A newer member of Silver Cross Medical Group , Dr. Manning’s official bio says she treats patients ages 2 and up.
“I’m trained in family medicine, so that means everything from pediatrics on up. One patient can be a toddler; the next one a 90-year-old. I love the diversity and being able to see entire families.”
Dr. Manning, who grew up in Homer Glen, attended medical school at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Hinsdale Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.
She is dual board-certified in family medicine and obesity medicine, the latter of which captures much of her practice.
“In the first meeting, we’ll go over their family history, health issues, and then plan a course for weight management, exercise and, if necessary, medication.”
Dr. Manning also has a special interest in preventive healthcare and women’s health, and performs Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She serves as Course Director for Midwestern’s OMM Department.
At home, she enjoys reading, working out, crocheting and spending time with her husband and their three cats.
Although she joined only recently, Dr. Manning is a big fan of Silver Cross Medical Group.
