Record-Breaking Golf & Pickleball Classic Raises More Than $402,000 for OR of the Future Campaign

The Silver Cross Hospital Foundation is proud to announce that the 35th Annual Silver Cross Charity Golf Classic & 2026 Pickleball Championship raised a record-breaking $402,843 in support of the OR of the Future Campaign, helping advance surgical care for patients throughout our community.

Held at Crystal Tree Country Club, this year's event brought together community leaders, sponsors, golfers, pickleball enthusiasts, volunteers, and philanthropists for a day of friendly competition and extraordinary generosity. All proceeds will support the modernization of Silver Cross's 11 operating rooms, providing the latest surgical technology and a more calming, patient-centered environment.

Despite more than two inches of rain the day before the outing, the skies cleared just in time for an unforgettable day. The event's success reflects the incredible commitment of those who believe in ensuring patients have access to advanced surgical care close to home.

 "The record-breaking success of this year's event is a testament to the generosity of our community and the dedication of our sponsors, participants, volunteers and committee members," said Rudy Mahalik, Chair of the 35th Annual Silver Cross Charity Golf & Pickleball Classic. "Together, we are helping bring state-of-the-art technology to Silver Cross operating rooms and ensuring patients receive the very best surgical care close to home. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this historic achievement possible."

A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2026 Silver Cross Corporate Citizen Award to J.L. Adler Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. in recognition of the company's decades of community leadership, philanthropy, and steadfast support of Silver Cross Hospital. A third-generation Joliet-based company, J.L. Adler Roofing has generously supported numerous charitable organizations and community initiatives, including Silver Cross signature events, capital campaigns, and efforts to support hospital staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
