Rita Larson, past co-president of the Silver Belles of the King’s Daughters and Sons, presents a $4,000 donation in support of acute dialysis care at Silver Cross Hospital to Tracy Simons, Executive Director of the Silver Cross Foundation (left), and Scott Paddock, Senior Vice President of External Affairs at Silver Cross Hospital.

Silver Cross Hospital Foundation proudly announces a generous $4,000 gift from the Silver Belles Circle of King’s Daughters and Sons to support inpatient dialysis services at Silver Cross Hospital.

The donation will be used to purchase updated dialysis education and clinical reference materials from the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), widely recognized as the gold standard for evidence-based dialysis practices. These resources will help ensure that caregivers in the inpatient dialysis unit have access to the most current guidelines to inform policies, procedures, and patient care.

“On behalf of our patients and clinical team, we are deeply grateful to the Silver Belles for their continued generosity,” said Tracy Simons, Executive Director, Silver Cross Foundation. “Access to the latest evidence-based resources is essential to delivering safe, high-quality dialysis care. This gift directly supports our commitment to excellence and patient safety.”

A Legacy of Giving and Service

The Silver Belles Union of the King’s Daughters and Sons has a rich and longstanding history of supporting Silver Cross Hospital and its patients. As part of the larger King’s Daughters and Sons organization—founded on principles of service, compassion and charitable giving—the Silver Belles have been dedicated partners in advancing patient care at Silver Cross for decades.

Through annual gifts, hands-on volunteerism, and special projects, the Silver Belles have made a meaningful and lasting impact across the hospital. Their past support has funded vital equipment, enhanced patient comfort initiatives—including handmade fleece blankets—and contributed to numerous clinical programs, including dialysis services. In recent years, their generosity has helped provide specialized dialysis equipment, allowing patients to receive advanced care closer to home.

“The Silver Belles are an extraordinary group whose dedication to our hospital spans generations,” said Tracy Simons, CFRE, Executive Director of the Silver Cross Hospital Foundation. “Their unwavering commitment continues to elevate the care we deliver and touch the lives of countless patients and families.”
