Silver Cross Charity Golf & Pickleball Classic Returns June 22; J.L. Adler Roofing to Be Honored

The Silver Cross Hospital Foundation invites the community to its 35th Annual Silver Cross Charity Golf & Pickleball Classic on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Crystal Tree Golf & Country Club in Orland Park. This year’s event, presented by Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, highlights the growing excitement around pickleball and expanded underwriting sponsorship opportunities, as golf participation has already reached near capacity.
Proceeds from the event will support the creation of the “OR of the Future” at Silver Cross Hospital – an innovative surgical environment designed to integrate advanced technology, enhance patient safety and promote healing through thoughtfully designed spaces.
While a limited number of golf spots remain, organizers are encouraging individuals and corporate partners to take advantage of pickleball participation and sponsorship opportunities, both of which are experiencing strong demand.
“Pickleball has quickly become one of the most popular and inclusive ways to participate in our event,” said Tracy Simons, CFRE, Executive Director of the Silver Cross Hospital Foundation. “It offers a fun, social atmosphere while still making a meaningful impact. At the same time, our underwriting sponsors play a critical role in ensuring that every dollar raised directly supports patient care.”
Participants can choose from morning or afternoon golf rounds or join the pickleball competition, with the day featuring breakfast, lunch, contests, raffles, and an evening reception and dinner. Event highlights also include the chance to win a new D’Arcy automobile or $10,000 cash through on-course hole-in-one contests.
“We are proud to bring people together each year for a day of camaraderie, competition and philanthropy in support of Silver Cross,” said Rudy Mahalik, Event Chair. “Whether you’re on the course, on the pickleball courts or supporting as a sponsor, every participant plays an important role in advancing care for our patients and community.”
A special highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the 2026 Silver Cross Corporate Citizen Award to J.L. Adler Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc., recognizing decades of exceptional community leadership and philanthropic support. A third-generation Joliet-based company, J.L. Adler Roofing has demonstrated a deep commitment to giving back through charitable contributions, volunteerism and civic engagement. Under the leadership of Chris Adler, the company has supported numerous local organizations and played an active role in community initiatives. For more than 20 years, Adler Roofing has also been a dedicated supporter of Silver Cross through signature events, capital campaigns and additional contributions, including providing meals to hospital staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their partnership and generosity exemplify the spirit of the Corporate Citizen Award.
“J.L. Adler Roofing represents the very best of corporate citizenship – longstanding support, active community involvement and a true commitment to making a difference,” said Simons. “We are proud to recognize their impact and grateful for their continued partnership.”
With golf capacity limited, the Foundation encourages early registration for pickleball and sponsorship opportunities, particularly underwriting sponsorships, which provide high-impact visibility while directly advancing patient care initiatives.
