Silver Cross Foundation Appoints Dr. Samer Dola to Board of Directors

The Silver Cross Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Samer Dola, MD, to its Board of Directors. In this role, Dr. Dola will support the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen patient care, advance clinical programs and expand community health initiatives throughout the region. 

Dr. Dola currently serves as Medical Director and Chairman of the Pathology Department at Silver Cross Hospital, a leadership position he has held since 2015. He is also the Co‑Founder and President of Comprehensive Pathology Associates, where he oversees clinical operations that support diagnostic excellence, quality assurance and laboratory innovation across multiple specialties. 

Board‑certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Dr. Dola completed his residency at Loyola University Medical Center and his fellowship training at both the Cleveland Clinic and Loyola University Medical Center, along with additional research training at Harvard University. His academic and clinical background has contributed to the advancement of pathology services at Silver Cross, supporting enhanced diagnostic accuracy, molecular testing and multidisciplinary collaboration across the hospital. 

In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Dola has been a valued supporter of the Silver Cross Foundation. He is an active member of the Physician Giving Society and, together with his partners at Comprehensive Pathology Associates, has provided ongoing support for key Foundation initiatives. This includes annual sponsorship of major fundraising events such as the Silver Cross Charity Golf & Pickleball Classic and the Childerguild Ball, as well as a leadership gift to the Campaign for Heart Care to help advance the development of the hospital’s open and structural heart surgical program.

Dr. Dola will serve on the Annual Fund Committee, which provides strategic oversight for programs that encourage broad community and physician engagement in charitable giving to support patient‑centered initiatives at Silver Cross Hospital. 

The Silver Cross Foundation Board of Directors provides stewardship and guidance for philanthropic efforts that fund advanced technology, patient programs, clinical services, and community health projects across Will County and the surrounding region.
