Shirley Ryan AbilityLab at Silver Cross is led by a physiatrist—a doctor specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Working alongside the doctors are registered nurses, licensed physical and occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists and assistants, who are all dedicated to helping you heal. Our Shirley Ryan AbilityLab-Silver Cross team has experience treating a broad range of conditions. Many of our therapists are also certified in specialties such as hand and vestibular therapy. Shirley Ryan AbilityLab at Silver Cross Receives 3-year CARF Accreditation
The Shirley Ryan AbilityLab at Silver Cross Hospital received a 3-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This is the fifth time that the inpatient rehabilitation program at Silver Cross has received CARF accreditation.
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. Silver Cross demonstrated to a team of international surveyors (from England and Sweden) during an on-site visit the hospital’s commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
