Dr. Coolidge specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for Shirley Ryan AbilityLab at Silver Cross Hospital. He provides both inpatient and outpatient care for patients with a diverse array of impairments related to debility, stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation, neuromuscular disorders, musculoskeletal disorders, and cancer.
Dr. Coolidge grew up in a suburb of Boston and completed his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Connecticut College in New London, CT. After graduating from college, he worked as a personal trainer specializing in corrective exercise for clients recovering from injuries.
After graduating from college, he worked as a personal trainer specializing in corrective exercise. Coaching clients through injury recovery ultimately inspired him to further pursue a medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In school, he was recognized for his exceptional abilities in manipulative medicine, and was awarded a scholarship to study, teach, and practice an additional year of osteopathic manipulative medicine. He then went on to complete a year of internal medicine at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.
As an osteopathic physician who practices rehabilitation medicine, Dr. Coolidge takes a holistic and comprehensive approach to patient care. He takes the time to listen, and integrates each patient's unique goals into a specialized rehab plan of care.
