Join with us on #GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday is an international day of charitable giving marking the beginning of the holiday season on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. And rightfully so, as it was Thanksgiving Day 1895, when a group of caring individuals known as the Will County Union of King’s Daughters and Sons gave a magnanimous gift to the community – Silver Cross Hospital.
They made a promise nearly 125 years ago that hospital care would be available nearby. And in 2012, that commitment was renewed when the community – generous donors like YOU, came together once again to lend their support for a much needed replacement hospital in nearby New Lenox. A hospital that has since grown in both size and stature, yet always making sure area residents continue to have access to quality healthcare close to home.
