Silver Cross Offers Health Education Classes in December
New Lenox, IL (Nov. 15, 2013)— Silver Cross will offer the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid course Monday, Dec. 2 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Silver Cross Hospital, Pavilion A, Conference Center, 1890 Silver Cross Blvd., New Lenox. Participants will learn how to care for cuts, scrapes, bruise, burns, how to control bleeding, how to minimize the effects of shock, how to treat injuries to bones, muscles and joints: and caring for sudden illness including poison and heat and cold emergencies. This class is required for staff of day care homes and centers. Those who need CPR certification should also take AHA HeartSaver CPR. Fee is $45 and includes American Heart Association certification.
