Maria F. Cole D.O. — Internal Medicine

Board-certified in Internal and Emergency Medicine, Dr. Maria F. Cole began practicing medicine following her graduation from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine/Midwestern University in 1999. She then completed an internship with St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields and a combined residency in Internal and Emergency Medicine at St. James and Provident Hospital in Chicago from 2000 to 2004.

Dr. Cole focuses on annual physical exams, preoperative clearance exams, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and Thyroid disorder management.  She also specializes in osteopathic manipulation treatment, breast cancer awareness, and cervical cancer screening.

“Patient care is very important to me, especially preventive medicine. I am very eager to embark on relationships with patients motivating them to live their lives as healthy as possible. A key goal is that when patients leave the office, their concerns are heard and addressed, and they are more confident about their health moving forward.”

Dr. Cole earned the Louis Poulos Award in 2004 and the Leonardo Da Vinci Award in 2009 and is a member and volunteer of the Order of Sons of Italy in America.

When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Cole enjoys golf, cooking, playing piano and traveling. She especially treasures spending time with family, friends and her dog, and watching her daughter compete in travel softball.
