After successful completion of any AHA course the provider/student will receive an email from the AHA. This email will walk through the steps of claiming the course completion e-card. Students will create a free account with the AHA Atlas system. The student will have lifetime access to Atlas to view, download or print the e-card for the 2-year valid period. Any subsequent course completion cards will also be in this account. Please visit Atlas.heart.org to create your account or for more details.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU NEED A REPLACEMENT COURSE COMPLETION CARD BECAUSE YOURS WAS NOT RECEIVED YOU MUST CONTACT THE LOCATION/INSTRUCTOR THAT TAUGHT THE COURSE TO OBTAIN YOUR E-CARD.

INFORMATION FOR ALL EMPLOYERS

Employers may validate any e-card by visiting this E-card validation tool. Click on the word “Employer” and put in the E-card code found on the certificate, multiple codes may be put in at once, and click validate.

INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE INSTRUCTORS

Any individual that wishes to become an instructor with the AHA must first be a licensed Provider in that discipline (BLS, ACLS or PALS).

Potential instructors should follow the directions from the AHA in the Becoming an AHA Instructor Document.

The online Instructor Essentials course may be found and purchased by logging into the Shopcpr Store using your Atlas login information.

All other AHA and TC forms will be explained and completed during the in-person portion of the instructor training process.

INFORMATION FOR CURRENT UNALIGNED INSTRUCTORS

If you are already an AHA Instructor and would like to affiliate with the Silver Cross Hospital Training Center, please complete and submit the following forms along with the registration fee to the TC Coordinator:

AHA Instructor Transfer Checklist Form

Registration fee of $30 per discipline may be paid online via AHA Instructor Registration Fee

Once all documents and registration fees have been processed a new Instructor card will be issued from the Silver Cross Hospital TC and the previous Instructor card will be invalid. Alignment in the Atlas system can then occur just as you were aligned with your original TC.

INFORMATION FOR CURRENT ALIGNED INSTRUCTORS

All course rosters, and supporting documentation, must be received no later than 30 days after completion of a class. Instructor is responsible for assigning all E-cards to students of their class. Rosters and documentation should be submitted electronically to TCC at amonfre@silvercross.org

Silver Cross Hospital TC DOES NOT provide the security code for purchase of E-cards to its instructors. E-cards must be purchased through the hospital here:

To renew your instructor license, all instructors must have taught 4 classes during the 2-year license period. In addition, the following forms must be completed and submitted:

Instructor Demographic Form (Only if information has changed)
Instructor Agreement Form
AHA Instructor Renewal Checklist Form
AHA Instructor Monitor Tool (must have one per discipline)

All renewal forms should be mailed to TCC at amonfre@silvercross.org

All forms must be submitted 30 days prior to the end of the month your license expires. There is no grace period for expired renewals. If your license has expired, refer to the information in the Prospective Instructors section.
